We have openings for Senior CG Artist position with our client in Bangalore. below is the job description for your perusal.
As a senior CG artist you will have to create 100% technically accurate 3D models looking at CAD and photographic references for both Medium and Low poly models. Low poly models are models with a 3K or less poly count and Medium poly are 15K or less poly count. You will be responsible for a timely creative execution of all models which will be used in multiple digital experiences. You will also be responsible to train and manage the deliverables of your partner agencies. As a senior artist the expectation is also that you are able to work with the latest in tech from the PBR workflow and be able to handle the most complex models and materials
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Should have worked with the PBR pipeline
Should have experience with the Substance painter and designer
Should have the additional knowledge on plugins to be able to auto create hi poly to low poly is an added advantage
Should be able to suggest ways to optimize the workflow
You will be responsible for the delivery of one or more partner agencies
You will have to allocate , understand the complexities of execution, work o\n realistic timelines and be responsible of the delivery for the agency partners
You will be responsible for the creative and technically work for your partner agency
You will be responsible to understand and follow the latest tech and bring the learning back to the team
Should have worked extensively on both organic and inorganic modelling
Subject matter expert.
Interpret design reference to create a 100% accurate model
Should have an understanding of product design
Compulsory knowledge of the PBR work flow
Should know Substance painter and designer
Ability to produce work that is detail orientated
Strong understanding of the concepts of topology, poly count, and edge looping.
Strong knowledge to layout the UVs of a model.
Work diligently with a cohesive team of 3d modelers within the full CG team.
Expertise in 3ds Max or Maya software or related software to create 3D models.
Should have the ability to quality check their own output as per the standard as well those from the team
Adept with all the new technologies and plugins in that space.
Works with teams within CG to establish industry best practices.
Should be able to contribute and elevate the standards for files, file types and folder structures followed by the CG team.
Has a sound understanding of the technology required and plays a key role in supporting the technology needs.
Support in delivering innovative new solutions with internal partners
Collaborates with the development teams, creative teams and project management teams.
Researches and makes opportunities to learn new technologies within this space.
Nice to have good drawing skills along with a good understanding of anatomy and character modelling ability
Have the ability to lead a smaller work stream
Should produce high quality work within agreed timelines
Education in CG/Animation/Architecture
Experience working on PBR workflow and Substance painter and designer
5+ years working experience as a modeler
Subject matter expert
Good with both written and oral communication
Has knowledge across multiple softwares and plugins
Has the ability to lead a small team for a project
Salary: INR 4,25,000 - 9,25,000 P.A.
